Metalcrafters NC is hiring a Fabrication Project Manager to oversee and drive metal fabrication and installation projects from initiation through final completion. This role is critical to ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Manage projects from fabrication through final installation, ensuring successful execution and delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, field crews, office teams, and General Contractors
• Review blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution
• Plan and coordinate project schedules, materials, equipment, and labor resources
• Lead pre-installation planning including site logistics, equipment needs, and crew readiness
• Oversee field operations, ensuring installation aligns with approved drawings and quality standards
• Manage crews and subcontractors, providing direction and maintaining productivity on-site
• Utilize the Metalcrafters app as the primary system for job tracking, notes, communication, and documentation
• Monitor project budgets, track performance, and identify inefficiencies early
• Identify, document, and manage change orders and scope adjustments
• Ensure all safety standards and OSHA requirements are enforced and documented daily
• Communicate project updates, issues, and solutions clearly across all teams
• Manage project closeout including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with Real ID
• Proven experience in commercial construction project management
• Strong knowledge of miscellaneous metal fabrication, welding techniques, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• OSHA 10 Certification (Required)
• OSHA 30 Certification (Preferred)
• First Aid and CPR Certification (must be maintained)
• Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate across teams and clients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands
• Self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven
• Reliable and punctual—ready to work on time every day
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening (periodic updates required)
