Metalcrafters NC is hiring a Shop Fabricator to join our growing team. This role is critical to the production of high-quality miscellaneous metal products including stairs, railings, platforms, and custom fabrication projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Fabricate metal products according to shop drawings and specifications
  • Process fabrication orders daily to meet production and delivery schedules
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and measurements accurately
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Follow all Metalcrafters safety and quality control standards
  • Utilize the Metalcrafters app for accurate job tracking and accountability
  • Complete all required paperwork and production reporting
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to think quickly and problem solve
  • Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands
  • Maintain required certifications (First Aid, CPR, forklift, scissor lift, telehandler, combi lift, etc.)
  • Reliable and punctual—ready to work on time every day
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening (periodic updates required)
